You don’t need a detox.
You are probably wondering what is wrong with Kate?! She has often said how awful detox diets/products are and yet she is talking about needing another?
Juice cleanse?
Detox teas?
Green juice?
NO!
I am talking about a mental detox. Our body is well equipped to detox itself, however, a mental detox is something that we all need quite often. This could be in the form of taking a break from your crazy busy work schedule. It could be taking a break from social media.
It could even be taking a break from people around you. Life gets hectic so it is important not to get so absorbed in society’s situation and forget about YOU and your self-care. I utilised my weekend to take a break from work and social media (which is also work for me).
It was a much needed break! When you absolutely love what you do for work, it sometimes gets super tough to pause and disconnect from it since it doesn’t really feel like work. However, it is still work and my brain loves to work overtime. Taking breaks definitely helps me avoid burnout.This weekend, we have some family hiking planned to get away from the grind. You don’t need a detox – at least not the snake-oil kind.
